Mouse acts up while another device is in use due to incompatible driver.
Cause:
Device driver that is not fully Windows 95 compatible interferes with mouse.
Solution:
Remove the incompatible driver from the Device Manager and reinstall the device with an updated Windows compatible driver.
1) Stop using the device that is interfering with the mouse.
2) Open 'Device Manager'. (The 'Device Manager' dialog box appears.)

3) Select the 'View device by type' radio button.
4) Select the specific device type (e.g. modems) from the device list.
5) Click on the selected device to view the installed drivers for the device.
6) Select the specific driver for the device that is interfering with the mouse.
7) Click 'Remove' and click 'OK'. (The 'Conform Device Removal' dialog box appears.)

NOTE: If Windows prompts you to restart your computer, click 'Yes'.
8) If Windows does not prompt you to restart the computer, click the 'Start' button, and click 'Shut Down...'. (The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box appears.)
9) Select the 'Restart the computer' radio button and click 'Yes'.

10) Open the 'Add New Hardware' icon and click 'Next'.

11) Select the 'No' radio button and click 'Next'.

12) Double-click on the appropriate device type in the 'Hardware types' list box (such as CDROMs).

13) Select the device manufacturer from the 'Manufacturers' list box, and select the device model from 'Models' list box.

14) If you are installing the device with drivers supplied from the manufacturer, click 'Have Disk...', and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

15) If you are installing the device with drivers supplied with Windows 95, click 'Next'.
NOTE: You must have access to the Windows 95 CD-ROM.
16) Select the appropriate resources (i.e. IRQ, I/O addresses, and DMA) for the device driver, and click on 'Next'.
CAUTION: Please refer to the device's installation manual before assigning resources for the driver. Incorrectly assigning resources to a driver may cause conflicts with other devices.
17) Click 'Finish'. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
